Ahimsa Pose

Tadasana - Mountain Pose

Mountain Pose - Tadasana - is the perfect pose to practice ahimsa - non-harming.

Stand firm to start. Feel grounded and feel your breath rise in your chest.

Stand strong with your feet about hip width apart.  Draw your shoulders back with spine straight and weight evenly distributed on your feet, heels to toes and outer to inner edge of foot. You can also stand with your feet hip width apart.

Stand in Tadasana for 60 – 90 seconds.  Breathe and feel your breath. Feel the muscles and bones in your body align as you stand firm, standing in your truth, standing in your peace.

Standing firm in your life allows you to accept your life. This acceptance gives you the space and the strength to let ahimsa flow through your yoga journey.
