Month of Gratitude

November is the National Month of Gratitude. Add gratitude to your yoga practice. Gratitude is rocket fuel for your yoga journey.

November is the Month of Gratitude.

It is the month of actively taking time to be aware of all that you have to be grateful for - from your past, in your present and in your future.

Actively being aware of opportunities to be grateful is important. It means that you are on the hunt for gratitude opportunities. This one activity, actively seeking out things to be grateful for, shifts your mind and focuses you on an attitude of gratitude.

November is the month that we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Thanksgiving is all about being thankful for the bounty in your life. It is good, but let’s face it, for most people Thanksgiving is a day off and a huge meal with family and friends and maybe a little football.

It is a long weekend that of course we are thankful for but that is passive. It does not generate an attitude of gratitude. Being thankful is passive.

Being grateful is active and generates a vibrant energy that can have profound impacts on your health, your relationships and your life. Some of the positive impacts a gratitude practice has are:

  • Increase Your Energy

  • Increase Your Awareness

  • Be Kinder

  • Be More Compassionate

This month Yoga Journey Wisdom celebrates gratitude as part of your yoga practice. You can enhance your gratitude practice through asana, pranayama, concentration, meditation and community service.

Check it out on IG (@yogajourneywisdom.com) each day for gratitude practices to help you grow as you travel along your yoga journey.

Namaste…
